CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Former Mayor and 2016 Township Committee candidate Dan Lockwood announced a collaborative effort to develop an innovative and forward-looking plan for the future of Middle Township.
Lockwood said he would reach out to Township residents via small gatherings and social media connections to develop a proactive, future-oriented plan to foster sustainable economic development, provide real opportunity for future generations, enhance quality of life and improve municipal services.
“This is your town and I’m asking for your input,” Lockwood said at a gathering of Township voters on Tuesday night, August 2. “Every few days I will roll out a new topic for conversation, from public safety to public works, from business development and housing, to recreation and open space preservation. I will share my hopes and ideas. I hope you will share yours. With your collaboration, we will develop a clearer vision for our future.”
Lockwood said he IS anxious to get back to work for the people of Middle Township.
“I’m proud of the six years of good work I did on Township Committee, especially the last four, as part of the Republican majority with Tim Donohue,” Lockwood said. “We kept the promises we made to the voters of our town. But every campaign is about the future. Middle Township has so much potential for good. I feel like we have unfinished business. It starts with restoring leadership. With the help of our residents, we will roll out a bold and innovative vision consisting of 10 important goals we pledge to achieve by January 1, 2020.”
Residents can learn more about this initiative and give their input on Facebook at “2020 Vision for Middle Township.”
