Lockwood Files Nominating Petition to Run for Middle Committee

By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Daniel D. Lockwood submitted his nominating petition to be a Republican candidate for Middle Township Committee.
According to a release, Lockwood, who narrowly lost his bid to win a seat on Township Committee in 2008, says he decided to run again largely based on encouragement from supporters.
“As evidenced by last year’s election and the recent involvement of Middle Township residents at township meetings, people are no longer allowing the governing body to proceed unquestioned in matters that affect this community and its people,” Lockwood says. “I look forward to listening to and representing the community as a whole as their representative on Middle Township Committee.”
Lockwood missed unseating the incumbent mayor by 88 votes in 2008.
