League of Women Voters to Host Candidates Debate Wed., Oct. 26

COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County League of Women Voters will be hosting its annual candidates forum on Wed., Oct. 26, 2011 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Old Court House Building, Main Street, Cape May Court House, New Jersey. The forum this year will include the candidates for 1st District Senate and Assembly seats.
Prior to the forum, Will Morey and Kristine Gabor, the candidates for the two open positions on the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Gary Schaffer, the candidate for Sheriff, who are all running unopposed, will address the audience.
The debate between Jeff VanDrew (D) incumbent and Dave DeWeese (R) senate candidates and Nelson Albano (D) incumbent, Matt Milam (D) incumbent, Suzanne Walters (R) and Sam Fiocchi (R), will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Written questions will be taken from the audience that evening or questions can be submitted in advance, on line, to leecor@comcast.net. The candidates will also have an opportunity to ask questions of each other prior to the conclusion of the forum. Questions should be received no later than Mon., Oct. 24, 2011.
The forum will also be broadcast and streamed live over the internet by WCZT The Coast radio at 98.7FM and www.987thecoast. com.
