Kurkowski Calls Press Conference to Discuss Strategy for Change

By Herald Staff

CAPE MAY — Democratic Congressional challenger Dave Kurkowski will hold a press conference on Sept. 19 at 2 p.m., at the headquarters of the Atlantic County Democratic Committee, 6716 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. The public will also be invited to attend.
According to a release, Kurkowski will address his plans “for solving the problems created by eight disastrous years under George W. Bush, and facilitated by his opponent, Frank LoBiondo.”
“My opponent has accomplished next to nothing in seven terms in Congress, and the times demand leadership and effectiveness that he has not demonstrated,” Kurkowski stated.
“Frank LoBiondo has been ranked the least effective member of Congress in the entire state and in these trying times, the people of South Jersey deserve better. Our district has some of the highest unemployment rates in the state, and Frank LoBiondo has sat on the sidelines as we lost thousands of jobs, cheerleading the Bush agenda right down the line on every core issue from the economy to Iraq. He has a lot to answer for. We are going to hold him accountable.”
Kurkowski, “a successful Cape May businessman and City Council member, is mounting the first serious challenge to the seven-term Republican,” the release stated.
