NORTH WILDWOOD ─ Businessman and former “The Apprentice” contestant Brian McDowell is contributing more to the market and to the Wildwoods than real estate these days. Having been working since age 10, McDowell serves the greater Wildwood community at Island Realty Group. However, McDowell was on national television on the “Apprentice”(season three), hosted by Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
Trump, whose colorful campaign has filled national headlines, began as a businessman and is widely known in New Jersey for his work in Atlantic City. Trump’s experience as a businessman is one aspect that McDowell believes he will “bring to the table: Trump is a builder,” McDowell said.
Comparing Trump to legendary presidents such as Dwight Eisenhower and Franklin D. Roosevelt, McDowell believes that Trump will build America’s infrastructure. “I think he (Trump) will bring jobs and more jobs,” added McDowell.
McDowell used the proposed wall project between the United States and Mexico as an example of the jobs Trump would create. McDowell also believes Trump will bring “security” to the American people during uncertain days.
When asked if Trump could conduct matters of foreign policy, McDowell replied “Yes, he is the best negotiator” out of the Republican candidates.
McDowell believes that not only will Trump’s strength force Congress and the Senate to work with him, but also his skills as a negotiator will bring desired results.
McDowell, although fired by Trump on season three after trying to renovate a hotel in Sea Isle City, is loyal to the surprise of many.
Recently interviewed on NBC 10, McDowell says he wished he could have added this statement during the interview: “It’s not about me, it’s not about Donald Trump: it’s about my kids and grandkids.”
The America that McDowell wishes for his family propels his volunteer work.
While Trump was in Iowa, McDowell received a call from a friend from “The Apprentice,” asking for volunteers. “I stay in touch with them,” McDowell said.
Flying to Iowa, McDowell manned phones, attended rallies, and recruited additional volunteers.
“I filled in,” said McDowell, adding that he simply helped wherever needed.
From Davenport to Council Bluffs and to Drake University, where funds were raised for veterans, McDowell supported his former “boss.”
After attending to business at home, McDowell went to Nevada after Trump’s victory in South Carolina. While in Las Vegas, Nev. Donald Trump Jr. required transportation to an event, yet no private planes were available.
McDowell called another friend from “The Apprentice” days and made arrangements for a “charter plane deal.”
“More people vote for American Idol and that is sad,” McDowell commented on people’s motivation for voting. “This vote counts. They should vote for Donald Trump.”
From the local level to the national, McDowell believes Trump will “bring everyone together,” despite differing opinions and beliefs. “I don’t agree with everything he says,” McDowell said.
As the nomination race continues and sharpens in intensity, McDowell says “He (Trump) is the best modern day candidate.”

Cape May – The number one reason I didn’t vote for Donald Trump was January 6th and I found it incredibly sad that so many Americans turned their back on what happened that day when voting. I respect that the…
