Fire District Elections Feb. 17 For Voters in All Townships

COURT HOUSE – Voters in Dennis, Lower, Middle and Upper townships will be eligible to cast ballots in the Feb. 17 fire district elections in their respective districts. 
Polls will remain open in those district firehouses from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Mail-in ballots are available upon request from the Cape May County Clerk, 7 N. Main St., Court House. 
Dennis Township
Fire District No. 1, Ocean View: Three-year term, vote for two, two seats open: Doreen Gregory, Donald Tozer.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $361,000.
Question: Do you agree to allow the Commission to spend up to $75,000 should the need arise to purchase an SUV-style vehicle?
Fire District No. 2, Dennis: Full, three-year term, vote for one, Robert McClure. Unexpired one-year term, vote for one, Edward Beck.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $303,635.
Fire District No. 3, Belleplain: Full term, two seats open, Tami Kern, Joshua Pantelione.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $172,925. 
Lower Township
Fire District No. 1, Villas: Two-year term, vote for one, Linda M. Brannon. Three-year term, vote for one, Dale Gentek.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $561,839 (Total budget is $791,839).
Fire District No. 2, Town Bank: Three-year term, vote for two, George A. Barger Jr., Lewis A. Conley Jr.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $989,500 (Total budget is $1,178,500).
Fire District No. 3, Erma: Three-year term, vote for two, Gary Douglass Sr., Dennis Robertson Sr.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $760,892 (Total budget is $1,155,828). 
Middle Township
Fire District No. 1, Court House: Three-year term, vote for two, Joseph J. Trombetta, Keith P. Arenberg.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $1,216,283.
Question: Shall the Commissioners be authorized to expend $999,050 for the purchase of a new fire apparatus?
Fire District No. 2, Rio Grande: Three-year term, vote for one, Kirby Stiltner.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $596,800.
Fire District No. 3, Green Creek: Three-year term, vote for two, James M. Ernst, William Mulligan.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $496,815 (Total budget is $1,046,815).
Fire District No. 4, Goshen: Three-year term, vote for two, Robert K. Goodheart, Thomas Campbell.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $216,572. 
Upper Township
Fire District No. 1, Strathmere: Three-year term, vote for two, Steve Nickelsberg, Donna Diefenderfer.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $88,152.
Fire District No. 2, Tuckahoe: Three-year term, vote for two, W. Scott Mauger, Robert J. Young.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $509,300.
Question: Capital appropriation for capital expenditures over the next five budget years, the amount to be raised is $125,000 per year for use by the fire company.
Fire District No. 3, Marmora: Three-year term, vote for two, Jeffrey McAfee, Kurt F. Austin.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $577,570.
Fire District No. 4, Seaville: Three-year term, vote for two, Rob Hiddemen, Dave Mason Jr., Charles Webb.
Budget to be raised by taxation: $553,752 (Total budget is $563,027).
