Fire District Budgets Approved, Commissioners Elected

COURT HOUSE – Voters in the county’s four townships approved their respective fire district’s budget Feb. 18, and cast ballots for fire commissioners.
The following results from the Cape May County Clerk’s Office are unofficial since that office does not certify those results which were submitted by the individual districts. 
Dennis Township 
Fire District No. 1, Ocean View, Commissioner, full term, three years, vote for one, Robert O. Clayton Jr.: 35
Budget: $361,000: Yes, 32, No, 3
Question: Expenditure not to exceed $450,000 for purchase of a tanker-tender type fire truck: Yes, 33, No, 2 
Fire District No. 2, Dennisville, Commissioner, full term, three years, vote for two: Clifford Lockwood: 11, Bruce Knoll Jr.: 12
