TRENTON – The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is reminding any and all Democrats who may be interested in serving as a delegate to the Democratic National Committee Convention in Philadelphia this summer to submit their applications.
The application — the first step in the delegate selection process — includes completing a statement of candidacy and pledge of support form. More information is available on the State Committee’s website, here:< http://www.njdems.org/delegate>.
All applicants who submit applications before this month’s deadline will have their information forwarded to the campaign of the presidential candidate that they have pledged their support to. The presidential campaigns will be responsible for selecting which of their candidates seek delegate positions.
Obviously, in order to be eligible and to cast a ballot in the New Jersey Democratic presidential primary election June 7, 2016, one must be registered to vote as a Democrat. Information about registering to vote is also available on the party’s website, here< http://www.njdems.org/vote>.
