Police Release Information on Fatal Car Crash

GOSHEN – Middle Township Police Department received several 911 calls reporting a serious motor vehicle crash on SH 47 in Goshen Feb. 25 at 2:51 p.m. When responding, officers arrived on scene, and observed a single car crash into two different utility poles. The driver, George Cremin, 38 of Villas, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, Candice Keating, 32 of Villas, was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash.
Preliminary investigation indicated Cremin was operating a black Honda CRV north on SH 47 in Goshen. The vehicle drifted onto the shoulder of the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle continued in a northerly direction, rolling and flipping into a second utility pole.
SH 47 was closed for several hours after the crash for the investigation and utility clean up.
There were no witnesses at the scene. The Middle Township Police Department is requesting anyone who observed the crash, or the vehicle just before impact to contact the Middle Township Police at 609-465-8700,
The following are responding agencies that assisted in the crash scene: Goshen Fire Company along with Court House Fire company, Medics from AtlantiCare, along with Middle Township Rescue, and Fire Police from Green Creek Fire Company.
The crash is being investigated by Patrolman Norton, along with the Middle Township Fatal Crash Unit, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
