Police Investigate Woman’s Injuries

VILLAS – Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriana advised the public of a joint investigation being conducted in the 100 block East Virginia Avenue in Villas.

On April 11, at approximately 10:24 a.m., members of Lower Township Police Department responded to a residence located on East Virginia Avenue for a well-being call at a residential property. Upon arrival at the residence, officers discovered an adult female victim with injuries to her head area. The victim was airlifted directly to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where she is being treated for her injuries and remains in critical condition at this time.

Members of Lower Township Police Department and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office are diligently working together to learn further details related to the incident. At this time, Sutherland and Mastriana want to assure the public that there is no reason to be alarmed of any danger in the surrounding area of the incident, and as more details evolve, further information regarding the incident will be released to the public.
