WEST WILDWOOD – West Wildwood Police Chief Jacquelyn Ferentz has been awarded $1.165 million in her whistleblower suit against former mayor Herbert Frederick, NJ.com reports.
Ferentz said then-mayor Frederick repeatedly overstepped his authority by interfering in police business before and after she became acting chief in 2008. She accused Frederick of committing several illegal acts along the way.
A Cape May County jury reached the verdict July 21.
