Overseas Airline remembered at NASW

By On Deck Staff

Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum will be opening a new exhibit on the United States Overseas Airlines, Wednesday evening, July 2 at 7 p.m.
The opening will also kick off a set of NASW’s free Summer Lecture Series. The first lecture will be presented by Dr. Ralph Cox, Cape May County resident and founder of U.S. Overseas Airlines.
The airline, which operated during the 1950s and 60s, was known for its family-friendly, safe, convenient aircraft and service.
NASW’s collection includes actual boarding passes and travel logs from the company, a photo and video exhibit, and an interactive map. Travelers who have actually flown on the airline can mark off their destinations on the large map.
Dr. Cox’s presentation and the exhibit opening begin the second set of free lectures, which NASW will be offering this season. The lectures will be held at 7 p.m. on four consecutive Wednesdays throughout August.
