Mystery, tasty previews at Mad Batter

The Mad Batter Restaurant at 19 Jackson St. in Cape May has teamed with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) to sponsor some entertaining activities through the end of the year.
The Orient Express leaves Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. Diners enjoy a five-course dinner inspired by the menu served to passengers on this famous train and play along to solve a murder mystery.
Period costume is highly encouraged. There will be prizes for best costume and solving the mystery. Dinner is limited to 60 people. Admission is $60 per person.
Holiday Preview Weekend Wine Tasting Dinner on Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. features a five-course dinner with cuisine and wines from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast. Dinner is limited to 60 people. Admission is $70 per person.
Holiday Wine Tasting Dinner on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. is another five-course dinner paired with little known varietal wines. Dinner is limited to 60 people. Admission is $70 per person.
