MVC Agency to Relocate To Lower Township Site

By Al Campbell

RIO GRANDE – New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s office in Rio Grande Plaza Shopping Center will move from its present site to 3305 Bayshore Road in six to eight months. The location shift was confirmed by Deputy Director of Communications Mairin Bellack Jan. 5.
A Spout Off tip led to questions being asked of the state commission.
Bellack said the lease on the present office expired and bids were sought by Leasing and Utilities for another location that offered more space.
“The new location is about six miles south, and is being done for the best interests of residents, to give them a better agency experience,” Bellack said.
“It will be a good thing,” she added.
The site at 3305 Bayshore Road is Breakwater Plaza, at the intersection of Bayshore and Breakwater roads in Lower Township.
