Middle Teachers’ Lessons Featured on NJTV

COURT HOUSE — Two third-grade teachers from Middle Township Elementary No. 2 have been selected to participate in NJTV Learning Live’s programming. Christal Holmes and Nicole DelCorio will provide virtual lessons for students who are unable to be in the classrooms due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
Holmes’ episode featuring a math lesson will air April 15 at 9am, while DelCorio’s science lesson episode is awaiting a broadcast date.
“We’re honored to have our teachers participate in this alternative format of learning,” stated Superintendent Dr. Dave Salvo. “It’s a testament to the fact that our district accepted the challenge of distance learning and adapted our teaching methods to make the online component fit our students.”
NJTV Learning Live is a new weekday series of on-air instruction created by NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network, in partnership with the NJEA and the New Jersey Department of Education. The goal of the series is to enhance the remote learning New Jersey students are already doing with their local schools.

In addition to adapting their regular teaching methods to an online format, they took this on. I am surrounded by highly dedicated and successful educators.”
This programming began on April 6, allowing students to tune in for classes taught by some of New Jersey’s finest public school teachers on NJTVonline.org. On-air classes are taught daily for grades three through six from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on NJTV, and are hosted by Kimberly Dickstein Hughes, recipient of the 2019-2020 State Teacher of the Year Award.
