Middle Police Use Narcan, Revive One in Rio Grande

RIO GRANDE – Middle Township police officers, along with Middle Township Emergency Medical Services, responded to a convenience store in the 3600 Block of Route 9 South in Rio Grande for a reported heroin overdose at 10:46 a.m. July 29.
Police found an individual in the convenience store bathroom, recognized an overdose and administered a dose of Narcan to the individual, reversing the effects of the overdose, according to Middle Township Police Captain John Edwards.
The individual was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center.  
The individual was unidentified.
