There is an important link between children enjoying reading and whether or not a child thinks they are a good reader.
When children enjoy something, they love to tell about it.
The Cape May County Library wants to know what children think about the books they read and will spread the word so other young readers can enjoy a variety of books.
In order to facilitate this concept, “Kids’ Reviews,” Book Reviews by Children, for Children, is now available on the library’s web page, www.cape-may.county.lib.nj.us.
Children’s book reviews can be accessed by clicking on “Kids’ Reviews – Check them out!”
This program was created as a way to support and encourage kids’ love for reading by giving them an opportunity to connect, on an individual level, with the books they are reading and allows them to share their reactions, thoughts, and opinions with others.
Children of all ages are encouraged to express their feelings.
Review forms are available at all branches of the Cape May County Library System, or by printing them from the library’s web page.
Book reviews can be submitted at any branch of the library and will be posted on the library web page for other children to see.
For additional information please call your local library.

“Gifts from the Sea” is a fascinating display being presented during March at the Court House Library.
Walking along the Jersey Shoreline is pleasurable, but finding a treasure from the sea is a thrilling experience!
Mike Stafford, president of the Sea Isle City Historical Society, and his wife Marie have created an exhibit featuring their collection of interesting memorabilia, once lost at sea, but returned by the tides.
Included in the exhibit are whale bones, an old rifle, and a 1925 Beauty Parole Trophy.
