OCEAN CITY – Tomorrow, March 11, will mark the ninth anniversary of the disappearance of John Weisbecker, who disappeared from his home in the 200 block Asbury Avenue on March 11, 2009.
According to a release, Weisbecker was last seen around 10:30 a.m. by a local postal worker.
Weisbecker was discovered missing around 8 p.m. by family members when they returned home for the day. The investigation indicated that Weisbecker disappeared shortly before noon.
Evidence at the scene showed signs of a struggle and that Weisbecker did not leave of his own free will. Weisbecker was described at the time of his disappearance as a white male, brown hair, brown mustache, 6 feet 2 inches tall, blue eyes, with numerous tattoos on his torso and arms.
The investigation is ongoing by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, FBI, Ocean City Police Department, and New Jersey State Police. A reward of $50,000 has been offered to anyone who provides information as to Weisbecker’s whereabouts.
