COURT HOUSE – An 86-year-old male resident of Victoria Manor, a long term care facility, in Lower Township, died from complications of the coronavirus, according to a Department of Health (DOH) report April 7. This marks the second county death attributed to the virus and reported by county DOH.
The report, issued at 5:30 p.m. April 7, did not significantly alter the county numbers on the spread of COVID-19. It still listed 83 active cases, 15 individuals off quarantine (previously labeled recovered) and the increase to two deaths.
In terms of active cases, Wildwood City moved from five to seven positive tests, while Lower and Middle townships each had one active case removed from their total.
The outbreak at Victoria Manor, operated by Genesis HealthCare, continued to develop with no new numbers on infection rates from DOH.
