Join the Nature Center of Cape May as they search for “The Dirty Dozen,” on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m.
Ants, beetles, millipedes, pill bugs, salamanders, mushrooms, worms, slugs, termites, toadstools, lichen, moss, and more make their homes all around us in logs, under rocks, and in the earth.
Naturalist Paige Cunningham will lead children in exploring the busy, fascinating world to be found right at our feet. The outdoor walk will take place at the Villas Wildlife Management Area, off Bayshore Road in Villas.
“The Dirty Dozen” is designed for families with young children. Adult participation is required.
The program fee is $10 adults and $7 children ages 4 to 12, discounted to $8 adults and $5 children for New Jersey Audubon members.
Children under 3 are admitted free. Pre-registration is required.
Call the Nature Center of Cape May at 609-898-8848 to pre-register and get directions.
Dress for the weather, and meet at the Villas Wildlife Management Area.
