Hundreds of “Yon Teens” are expected to dance the night away during the 2008 Sea Isle City Baby Boomers Rock ‘n Roll Revival, featuring D.J. personality Jerry Blavat. The music will begin playing on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 8:30 p.m. at La Costa Lounge, JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue.
Blavat, who is also known as “The Boss with the Hot Sauce,” will be spinning records and entertaining the crowd of golden-oldies lovers with his lively presence and high level of energy. He is expected to arrive at the event in his “Blavat Mobile,” which is a less than inconspicuous vehicle brightly lettered with several of his famous catch phrases, such as “Comin’ at ya’, it’s the Geator with the Heater” — words that rally his devoted fans.
There is a $10 entry fee at the door, which includes a complimentary buffet and a musical stroll down Memory Lane with the Geator himself. For additional information, phone 263-3611.
