Group Offers Black-Oil Sunflower Seed

By Herald Staff

CAPE MAY — New Jersey Audubon’s Black-oil Sunflower Seed is the best single choice for backyard bird feeding. The group is offering 25-pound bags for $14 each.
New Jersey Audubon’s S.A.V.E. Brand Black-oil Sunflower Seed is grown in New Jersey, is bird and environment-friendly, and is less expensive. The S.A.V.E. name stands for “Support Agricultural Viability and the Environment.” It is the first birdseed certified “Jersey Grown” by the NJ Department of Agricul-ture.
Production of the sunflower seed directly supports habitat restoration for threatened and endangered grassland birds.
