WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the Borough of Woodbine will hold a Public Hearing on August 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., in the main meeting room of the municipal services building, 501 Washington Avenue, Woodbine, NJ 08270.
The purpose of this hearing is as follows: (1) to explain federal and state guidelines; (2) to review eligible and proposed program activities; (3) to consider proposals for an application under the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program; and (4) to receive citizen comments and recommendations.
The Borough of Woodbine is considering the submission of a Public Facilities Application for $400,000 for storm drainage improvements. This $400,000 request is being submitted in conjunction with a FEMA application for an overall storm drainage project of approximately $1.5 million. This FEMA application was the result of Woodbine Borough homeowners being significantly impacted by last March’s flooding.
“I encourage all citizens to attend this hearing to give their input or to send me their written comments,” added Mayor Pikolycky. “If successful, this could mitigate our storm water problems.”
