WOODBINE — The Borough of Woodbine has received word from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection that they have been awarded funding for a “Bonus Recycling Grant” in the amount of $8,551 for recycling containers.
Funds would be used purchase recycling containers, with liners, to pair with existing public trash receptacles throughout the Borough of Woodbine, particularly along the bikepath.
“This grant award will enable us further in meeting our recycling goals and reducing costs connected with landfill usage,” added Mayor Pikolycky. “This will also serve to raise community awareness of the need to recycle. We thank NJDEP for looking favorably on Woodbine’s application for these containers.”
