WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the Borough of Woodbine received bids for two road construction projects, totaling $405,000, on Nov. 10.
The first project is for the reconstruction of a portion of Fremont Ave.
This project is being funded by New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid grant in the amount of $205,000.
Bids received were: A.E.Stone, $210,562.50; Asphalt Paving Systems, $185,640; $Jerry & Son Excavating, $192,871; Krisanna Construction, $212,722.50; Landberg Construction, $198,745; Lewandowski Construction Industries, $230,820; South State $162,523.
The second project is for Phase II of the Airport Entrance Road reconstruction. This project is being funded by a New Jersey Department of Transportation Discretionary Aid Grant in the amount of $200,000
Bids received were: A.E.Stone, $176,250; Asphalt Paving Systems, $185,050; Glenside Equipment, $176,112.50; Infrastructure $148, 810; Jerry & Son Excavating, $151,550; Krisanna Construction, $188,915; Landberg Construction, $186, 745;Seminole Construction, $197, 650; South State $164,680.
The Borough had previously undertaken a road improvement project for the Airport Entrance Road utilizing FY 2008 Smart Growth Initiative funding.
The current project piggy-backs on the $928,770 in grant funding Woodbine Municipal Airport received from the Federal Aviation Administration for Phase 2 of its apron expansion project.
“This NJDOT funding enables the Borough of Woodbine to keep its roads and infrastructure maintained and upgraded as necessary without placing additional financial burdens on our local municipal budget,” added Mayor Pikolycky. “I thank NJDOT for continuing to recognize the value of Woodbine’s ongoing projects.”
