WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky, at the May 3 Borough Council meeting, will issue a proclamation declaring May as “General Aviation Appreciation Month” in the Borough of Woodbine, and invites all citizens to recognize the importance of local community airports.
General aviation not only supports New Jersey’s economy, it improves overall quality of life by supporting emergency medical and healthcare services, law enforcement, firefighting and disaster relief, and by transporting business travelers to their destinations quickly and safely.
“General aviation and the Woodbine Municipal Airport have an immense economic impact on the Borough of Woodbine,” stated Pikolycky in a release. “Our airport pre-dates World War II and has its own fascinating history.”
