WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky reported at the Feb. 7, Woodbine Borough Council meeting that, according to an article by Susanne Cervenka in the Asbury Park Press, New Jersey’s average property tax bill has increased from $4,119 to $8,690 in the 20 years between 1998 and 2017, more than doubling.
According to a borough release, in that period, Woodbine’s average residential property taxes have gone from $1,316 to $ 1,892, an increase of 44 percent, making it the lowest increases in Cape May County.
In an article from NJ.com, it was noted that Woodbine ranks number 3 in the state for lowest property taxes, with the average homeowner paying $1,892.
“We are pleased to see Woodbine acknowledged for this accomplishment in the statewide media, comparing our borough to other municipalities” stated Pikolycky.
