WOODBINE – The Borough of Woodbine has been extended a special invitation from the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center and the New Jersey Department of Transportation to be recognized at the 2013 New Jersey Complete Streets Summit to be held at Rutgers University on Oct. 21.
The Borough is one of 65 municipalities and 5 counties in New Jersey to have passed a complete streets policy.
“Woodbine is honored to be recognized for its Complete Streets policy and continues to implement this as we move forward with our transportations related projects,” added Mayor Pikolycky. “This certification enables Woodbine to be in stronger, more competitive, position when applying for grant funding for infrastructure projects. This comes on the heels of our community school being honored as a Silver Level award recipient for the statewide Safe Routes to Schools Recognition Program.”
