Woodbine Designates ‘Cool Center’

WOODBINE — The borough has designated Cape Human Resources — Woodbine building, Woodbine Social Services Center, 406 Monroe Avenue, as the borough’s emergency management designated “Cooling Center” in the event of a heat emergency.
The service is for Woodbine residents, as per County Emergency Management directive.
Contact for that facility is Director Evelyn Perez , 609-861-2817.
“Any residents without air-conditioning who become health-threatened during an extended heatwave can take shelter at this facility,” explained Pikolycky.
“I want to remind everyone to dress in light clothing, have adequate ventilation, drink plenty of fluids, and stay out of the daytime heat during this period of extreme temperature,” he concluded.
