By Press Release

WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the Borough of Woodbine, at a special Council meeting on Nov. 17, awarded contracts for two road construction projects, totaling $405,000. The special meeting was called in order to award these contracts and have construction begin while the weather was still conducive.
The first, for the reconstruction of a portion of Fremont Avenue, was awarded to South State, Inc.
This project is being funded by New Jersey Department of Transportation Municipal Aid grant in the amount of $205,000.
The second, for Phase II of the Airport Entrance Road reconstruction,is being awarded to InfraStructure, L.L.C.
This project is being funded by a New Jersey Department of Transportation Discretionary Aid Grant in the amount of $200,000.
“By awarding these contracts prior to December’s first scheduled meeting, and given that there are also airport construction projects scheduled underway, this creates additional construction jobs for our local economy on these nearly $2.5 million projects that much earlier in the season,” added Mayor Pikolycky.
