Woobine Mayor Sworn in on Pinelands Municipal Council

Sen. Michael Testa (R-1st) swore in new members to the Pinelands Municipal Council's executive committee

WOODBINE – Mayor William Pikolycky, of Woodbine, announced March 10 that members of the Executive Committee of the Pinelands Municipal Council were sworn in March 9 by State Sen. Michael Testa (R-1st), at their reorganization meeting, at the Estelle Manor City Municipal Building.
According to a release, Testa gave a presentation concerning PILOT funding, an issue on which he is both very informed and about which he continues to be very concerned.
Officers are: Chair, William Pikolycky, mayor, Borough of Woodbine; Vice-Chair, Deborah BuzbyCope, mayor, Bass River Township; Secretary/Treasurer: Karen Vaccaro, designee, Manchester Township; Member at Large: James Renwick, designee, Shamong Township.
Upcoming meetings of the Pinelands Municipal Council will be May 25, at Buena Vista Township; July 27, at the Pinelands Commission Headquarters, in Pemberton; Sept. 28, in Weymouth Township; Nov. 24 in Washington Township.
Mayors and designees from the Pinelands communities are urged to participate in these meetings, which can be done in a remote fashion.
“I want to thank Estelle Manor for hosting our swearing-in/reorganization meeting and especially thank Sen. Testa for swearing in our officers, as well as being our guest speaker. Any Pinelands communities interested in hosting future meetings are asked to contact the Pinelands Municipal Council,” added Mayor Pikolycky.

The July meeting will be a joint meeting with the Pinelands Commission and will include a Pinelands orientation for newly elected or appointed and an update for other elected or appointed municipal officials.
This orientation will be held as a remote meeting. A registration form will be available on the Pinelands Commission website (www.nj.gov/pinelands) or call Paul Leakan, at 609-894-7300.
