Wildwood Police Release January Statistics

WILDWOOD – Wildwood police officers responded to 2,591 calls during the month of January.
Included in that number were five calls for simple assault; six calls for aggravated assault; 34 calls for burglary; four calls for domestic violence; 20 calls for theft; and 90 calls reporting disturbances.
Police conducted 18 drug investigations; responded to 48 calls reporting suspicious persons and 13 calls reporting suspicious vehicles.
Officers responded to 50 fire alarms and 73 calls for medical assistance. Police made 377 motor vehicle stops, responded to six motor vehicle accidents and responded to two calls for driving while intoxicated.
Members of the Wildwood Police Department arrested 58 adults and on juvenile during the month of January.
