WILDWOOD — A week has passed since the launch of “Pay by Cell” parking, and registration in the system is sky-rocketing. Hundreds of drivers now participate in the system daily.
“The number of system users nearly quintupled over the holiday weekend,” said Katie Ferrara, Project Manager, in a Fri., July 9 release. “It’s been a great success.”
During these initial two weeks of implementation, users were given a complimentary first-time parking event.
“What we’re doing here is completely innovative,” Mayor Gary DeMarzo said. “Everyone is accustomed to paying with quarters.
“Uncharted territory can be daunting, but with that first free usage, drivers realize how convenient the system really is,” he continued. “We are committed to providing any convenience to help our visitors enjoy their stay.”
The complimentary trial period will expire after July 15. Starting July 16, drivers who wish to use the system must create an account on www.CellParkingUSA.com or by calling the local access number: (609) 849-8928.
