WILDWOOD — Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Wildwood Police Chief Steven Long announce the arrest of Thomas Davis, 25, of the 5000 block of Pacific Avenue in Wildwood.
On June 2, the Cape May County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, the Wildwood Police Department, the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team and the Cape May County Sheriffs Department K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment located in the 5000 block of Pacific Avenue.
As a result, 90 bags of suspected heroin, suspected cocaine, an amount of suspected marijuana and cash were seized.
Davis was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in an amount less than 1/2 ounce, a crime of the third degree; Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with intent to Distribute, a crime of the third degree; Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 1000 feet of School Property, a crime of the third degree and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 500 feet of a Designated Public Place, a crime of the second degree.
Davis was committed to the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 cash bail.
Taylor advises that persons convicted of second degree crimes are eligible for a term of incarceration of between five and 10 years in New Jersey State Prison and persons convicted of third degree crimes are eligible for a term of incarceration of between three and five years in New Jersey State Prison.
