WILDWOOD – The Wildwood Fire Department’s 2nd Annual Medal Day will be held on May 19, at 1 p.m., at fire headquarters.
“Medal Day” is a tradition in the fire service where a department honors the men and women for exceptional actions during the course of their normal duties.
These events range from community involvement and administrative recognition to lifesaving awards and citations for bravery.
This year, the Wildwood Fire Department will be recognizing close to 20 members from the career and volunteer divisions.
This is the second “official” Medal Day the Wildwood Fire Department is holding and has become an annual event to be held the Saturday prior to Memorial Day Weekend each year.
Anyone interested in attending is welcome.
