Wildwood Crest Police Participate in U Drive-U Text-U Pay Crackdown

By Press Release

WILDWOOD CREST — The Wildwood Crest Police Department will be participating in the statewide “U DRIVE-UTEXT-UPAY” campaign in support of the Division of Highway Traffic Safety crackdown.
Patrol Officers will be focusing on distracted driving specifically using a hand held device to talk or text. The campaign will run from April 1 through April 21 2017, when extra officers will be patrolling and enforcing drivers who violate the traffic law specifically by being distracted while driving.
The Wildwood Crest Police Department would like to remind all drivers that using a hand device to text or talk is dangerous and violators will be issued summons for this offense.
