SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City Business Administrator George Savastano reported Sept. 10 that the beach replenishment project for Sea Isle City is on schedule.
The Army Corps of Engineers will be awarding a beach nourishment contract Sept. 30 for Sea Isle City, Ocean City and Strathmere. The project will begin in the fall, and include replenishing the sand in the downtown area.
Talks with the Army Corps are underway about altering part of the plan’s design. Under discussion is making the beach wider, especially in the downtown area, and in the south end, moving the dunes westward to expand the beach recreational area.
Savastano said the project is expected to be completed by summer 2020.
West Cape May – The amount of TV shows airing is getting out of hand. Less movies are being produced today than ever before. Instead, people are glued to watching shows that most people never heard of.
