By Vince Conti

COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Committee March 20 introduced an ordinance to clarify the meaning of small domestic farm animals allowed in residential districts with a lot size greater than 10,000 square feet. The allowed species are limited to chickens, ducks, geese, and bees. The number of animals allowed also varies with lot size.
The need for the clarification arose when a resident assumed that goats met the definition of small domestic farm animals. “He had a point,” said Solicitor Frank Corrado, “but he was wrong.”
Court House resident Ed Dillio rose to praise the taste of freshly laid eggs. “I advise everybody to get chickens,” he said.
