West Wildwood Upgrades Safety Equipment at Borough Hall

By Press Release

WEST WILDWOOD – Two automated external defibrillators or AEDs have been purchased through a safety incentive fund that was refunded from the Joint Insurance Fund (JIF) for the borough’s excellent employee safety record, according to officials.
In addition to the two AEDs, a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation or CPR station, along with a state of the art First Aid station, will be placed at Borough Hall in the event of an emergency, said Mayor Herbert C. Frederick.
Commissioner Gerard McNamara said this is just the latest in efforts to upgrade safety equipment within the borough to assist the residents in emergencies.
In the upcoming weeks all borough employees will be trained by the West Wildwood Fire Department in the use of the AEDs. Training is also planed to instruct them in CPR.
