West Wildwood Mayor’s Condition Upgraded

By Herald Staff

WEST WILDWOOD — Dr. Herbert C. “Chuck” Frederick, mayor of West Wildwood, continues his recovery at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden.
Herbert, 61, was critically injured in a fall from a ladder at his Venice Avenue home on July 16. At the time of the injury Herbert was airlifted to Cooper where his condition was listed as critical but stable.
“He’s doing pretty good,” said borough commissioner Gerard McNamara. “His condition has been upgraded from critical to serious. It’s a move in the right direction.”
While the borough continues to run smoothly, Frederick’s absence is being felt. “We’re all still praying for him,” said McNamara. “And we miss him.”
