WEST WILDWOOD– The Borough of West Wildwood has announced the launch of thier new website www.Westwildwoodnj.com
The new website is a product of many hours of hard work and collaboration between the Boroughs administrator Jim Nanos and web designer Rob Gambino of “its called solutions” web design of Philadelphia.
Mayor Herbert Frederick and commissioner Gerard Mcnamara helped design the site after speaking to Borough residents and obtaining input and suggestions as to what the residents would like to see on the Boroughs official website.
Mayor Frederick said he wishes to see the borough continue to move forward with improving the use of technology to help keep the residents involved and informed citing the
On-line publication of the boroughs meeting minutes, agendas and resolution as an example for those who can not attend regular Borough meetings.
Commissioner Mcnamara was please to add that the reverse 9-1-1 system that helps so many of the Boroughs seniors become aware of changing weather conditions and flood warnings, can now be accessed on-line. Commissioner Mcnamara added that in the next phase of the web-site, the Borough will be adding emergency text-messaging notification for residents.
The website offers visitors a great deal of content including borough forms, the ability to sign up for emergency warnings, weather and radar updates, the borough newsletter and a calendar of borough events. Of special note is an entire section dedicated to the showcasing of borough related photographs, some dating back to the early 30’s. Residents are encouraged to submit old photos to share on the web-site.
In the next phase that is expected to be completed this spring, there will be three web-cams showcasing the Borough’s marina area and beautiful back-bay sunsets.
The Borough is committed to keeping the residents involved and aware of how its government is operating and is always seeking suggestions on improving the operation and completion of the Borough business.
