Wareham, Brannon Installed As Lower Township Fire District #1 Commissioners

VILLAS — March 5 the Lower Township Fire District #1 Board of Commissioners held its annual Installation and Reorganization Meeting. Joe Wareham and Michael Brannon were sworn into office by Ward 1 Councilman Tom Conrad. Joe Wareham, who is serving his second term as a commissioner, was named Chair of the Board of Commissioners for the second straight year. Michael Brannon, who is also President of the Villas Fire Company, is serving in his first term as a commissioner.
Wareham stated, “I enjoy serving our community through the Board of Commissioners and I appreciate that my fellow commissioners see me as the person who they want to lead the board moving forward. I am grateful that Councilman Conrad was able to attend and participate in the ceremony.”
Brannon added, “I am looking forward to my term as a commissioner. I have served as President of the Villas Fire Company for several years and bring a unique perspective to the board. I also want to thank Councilman Conrad for swearing us into office. He has been a strong supporter of the Villas Fire Company and is someone who takes the time to help us when we need it.”
Councilman Conrad stated, “It was an honor for me to swear Joe and Mike into office. I have worked with both of them in the past and they serve the fire company well. They truly are good, community-minded people who enjoy serving our residents. I am happy to be involved with their big night.”
