Walker Seeks Lower Council Seat

This November, Lower Township Councilman Tom Conrad will be asking you to elect him to a third term. Ward 1 cannot afford four more years of Tom Conrad, and the question that has to be asked, and will be repeatedly throughout the campaign is, “What has Tom Conrad done in eight years in office to make Ward 1, whether Villas, Fishing Creek, or the Sheridan Tract, a better place for you to live and raise your family?”
My name is Johnnie Walker and I hope to have the opportunity to meet each of our residents as I make my way throughout the ward. I am a Villas resident, a Planning Board member, and as the Commander of our local Disabled Veterans Post, I have taken a keen interest in serving our residents, especially our area veterans. I am also deeply concerned about the direction our area is headed, and the lack of leadership from Tom Conrad.
This election will not simply be about Conrad’s lack of leadership, but also about the issues we face in our daily lives; issues such as taxes, and saving your money by eliminating wasteful spending. Just dissolve the MUA and save a MILLION dollars per year! And if you look out your window, you will see the current drug epidemic. How can Conrad possibly be against moving the police station back to town hall?
There will be much more on these and all of the other issues which are standing between us and the town we can be. I’m an Independent, not beholding to any party, someone who only wants to make our town a better place to live. Blind loyalty to a political party has repeatedly hurt this town and its residents.
