’Walk Sidewalk Sales, Signs OK’d

North Wildwood Logo

By Rachel Rogish

NORTH WILDWOOD ─ City Council amended its Boardwalk portion of the city code to allow “sidewalk sales” after Labor Day.
According to City Clerk Scott Jett, boardwalk merchants have followed an “unspoken” practice of selling merchandise outside their stores after Labor Day.
The amendment also includes signage; merchants can set signs and tables outside their business as long as tramcar traffic is not impeded. The amendment passed unanimously Dec. 4 during the North Wildwood City Council meeting.
