Van Drew Explains Vote to Protect Healthcare Coverage for Those with Pre-existing Conditions

U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2nd)

By Press Release

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2nd) commented  April 4 about his vote for H. Res. 271:
“Healthcare is an issue that we continue fighting on, and I am looking forward to a time where we can work together to come up with a solution. In the meantime, any attempt to strip coverage from the American people without a plan to replace it is unacceptable. That is why I support H. Res. 271 to condemn efforts to strip healthcare away from people with pre-existing conditions.”
“Our focus should be on finding a bipartisan solution to healthcare that makes it more affordable and accessible to all Americans. It sickens me to hear of people being unable to get coverage if they have a pre-existing condition, or of seniors that are struggling to afford prescriptions. The American people are depending on us for things like this. We must come together to find a solution.”
