Van Drew, Andrzejczak to Kick Off District-Wide Listening Tour

By Press Release

TRENTON — Senator Jeff Van Drew and Assemblyman Sgt. Bob Andrzejczak announced today that they will kick off a district-wide listening tour this month to hear from residents about the issues that are important to them and their families.
Over the next month, the legislators will stop at supermarkets across the 1st Legislative District to hold ‘Supermarket Town Meetings,’ during which they will be available to speak with residents outside of area grocery stores. The listening tour comes as state legislators are gearing up for the fall legislative session.
“This is a great way to hear directly from residents about the issues that are most important to them and their families. Whether people want to discuss state matters, express concerns, or provide suggestions for how we can do better, we want to hear from them,” said Senator Van Drew (D-Cape May/Atlantic/Cumberland).
“As the summer comes to a close and people are getting back into their fall routines, we know that many families will be busy. This tour will provide a convenient way for residents to discuss with us any issues that are on their minds,” said Assemblyman Andrzejczak (D-Cape May/Atlantic/Cumberland).
The legislators said that while constituents are always welcome to call their legislative offices, the tour will provide an opportunity for residents to make a quick stop on their way home from work, or while picking up groceries, to talk with them about state issues.
The legislators ‘Supermarket Town Meetings’ will be held at the following times and locations:
• Sept. 14 – Rio Grande Shoprite, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Sept. 23 – Millville Shoprite, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Sept. 25 – Marmora Shoprite, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Sept. 27 – Vineland Shoprite (Lincoln and Landis), 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Additional dates to be announced.
