PETERSBURG – Upper Township Committee member John Coggins informed Mayor Richard Palombo and others that the township’s Economic Development Committee recommended the expenditure of $9,000 for a “Buy Local” campaign to support the municipality’s businesses. “The $9,000 would be used for signage, radio spots, flags, hospitality, and restaurant week activities to help our local small businesses. The plan has the approval of the Upper Township business association.” Palombo remarked, “With so much shopping on the internet if we can promote our local business people especially during the holiday season, we should.”
