PETERSBURG – Upper Township Committee unanimously approved a measure to introduce its 2018 budget of over $ 13.1 million with a 1.1-cent local tax rate increase. If the proposal is approved, the tax rate will increase to 18.2 cents per $100 of a property’s assessed value. In comparison year-over-year, last year’s budget was $12.69 million and had a flat tax rate.
Final consideration by the committee, with an opportunity for public comment for budget adjustment, will be held April 9.
