PETERSBURG – Upper Township Committee recognized Bruckner Chase Ocean Positive Inc. Sept. 10. The organization advocates ocean-inspired activities and works with and supports people with paraplegia to get them on surfboards after spinal cord injuries. That way they are not prone or vertical 24/7. Mayor Richard Palombo said, “I want to honor Bruckner Chase, Michelle Evans-Chase and Rebecca McGill here with us tonight for this work through our lifeguards, the Ocean City Swim Club, and Blue Journey Unified.” Chase summed up by saying “This is a movement that is going global; I just got off the phone with Queensland, Australia to see how we can help them implement a similar program and we are working with Canada as well to do the same.”
