CREST HAVEN — A special meeting of the Board of Chosen Freeholders, scheduled for noon Jan. 31 in the freeholders meeting room, 4 Moore Road, has been rescheduled to Feb. 1 at noon, according to Elizabeth Bozzelli, clerk of the board.
Purpose of the session is to administer the oath of office to the person chosen Jan. 30 at a county Republican convention set to take place in Clermont.
That selection will be made by GOP committee members.
The person selected will serve in the seat vacated by Surrogate M. Susan Sheppard, and fill her unexpired term, Dec. 31.
Thus, the selected individual will run with Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton.
